If the USPSA matches are
a little too serious for you, or you just can't get enough
pistol shooting, then you should try our monthly Fun Shoots!
Fun shoots are kind of
competition-like, but mostly they are intended for anyone
who likes to shoot to just come out and enjoy handguns and
comraderie. Shooters of all skill levels are invited to
attend the fun shoots. Even people brand new to firearms.
This is a great venue to introduce your buddies, wives,
girlfriends, and kids to entry level organized shooting in a
stress free environment. We don't ask much in the way of
equipment, or experience, just that you are safe at all
times.
Our funshoots are
untimed, accuracy based events, featuring a variety of
targets; paper, steel, bowling pins, claybirds, a little
untimed IPSC action, even the food of the month. Anything
is possible. The emphasis is on the fun. It is a good time
to practice accuracy with your competition gun, play with
your carry gun, or almost any other sidearm that is
collecting dust in your safe (assuming it holds 6 rounds
minimum).
Winners at the Fun
Shoots earn bragging rights, except at the team trophy shoot
in August.
Normally food and drinks
are available for purchase at the fun shoots. (Usually hot
dogs, soda, water, and Gatorade)
Will be 4th Saturday of the month January through October like previous years (except July). We do not close the rifle range for these.
Setup at 8:30am, shooting at
10:00am. Cost is $15. |
