Conflicts with other IPSC matches kept attendance down at the June IWLA
match, although 43 competitors shot the five stage match. Several new SHC
course graduates shot well in their first match.

A speed shoot, Side to side, opened the match with a six reload six drill.
Low ports around a barrel slowed the hozing as did partial hardcover targets.
Topping the field, Terry Zortman shot the stage in under 7.5 seconds, Mike
Brakel led the Standard shooters with a 10.5 second run.

Stage two, Wall of Steel, was a 15 round all steel wall stage. Three ports,
each giving access to 5 steel targets which varied from full sized poppers to
6 inch squares. Adam Benson won the stage with a 6.3 hit factor, Howard
Thompson won the Standard race with a 4.5 hit factor.

Through the Cattle Shoots was an 18 round all paper field course. Running
was the key here as targets were widely spaced throughout the center pit. Adam
Benson won his second stage in open with a 14 second run, as did Mike Brakel
with a 16 second run.

Stage four, Shot - N - Park was a field course with a parking lot theme.
Delivering the mail was an important factor as 6 primary shots had to be
fired holding the “package” witch had to be delivered to the mailbox. The
steel car took its share of hits downrange, though Terry Zortman and Howard
Thompson shot clean to win open and standard respectively.

Our final stage and this months classifier was Take Your Chance, a 12 round
speed shoot with a mandatory reload. This barricade stage had its share of
no-shoot, though all shoot targets were full sized. Terry Zortman won his
3rd stage of the match with a 9.22 hit factor as did Howard Thompson with a
6.9 hit factor.

Congratulations to our match winners with Terry Zortman High Over All and
Howard Thompson High Standard. Other winners were Adam Benson - 1A, Pete
Barrett - 1B, Lorie Benson - 1C, Rich Banks - 1U, Mike Brakel - 1AL, Pete
Wilber - 1BL, Dan Blevins - 1CL, Frank Miller - 1DL,Steven Angelos - 1UL,
Adele Miller - High Lady, Rick Herman- 1CC. Congratulations to all June
winners.

Our July match will be held on Saturday July 10th. Squad times will remain
at 10:00 and 12:30. Call not earlier than one week before the match for
slots (717) 428-2564.

Don’t forget to check the Alpha List each and every month to verify that all
your information is correct. This list is the only source that is used to
update shooter information. Class and Open or Standard designation are
important items to double check. Also, don’t forget to call in for slots
every month. If a time slot fills we will need to close entries and turn
shooters away. A call if you will not be attending although you called in
for a slot would be appreciated.

Don’t forget that we are recognizing Concealed Carry for all you tactically
oriented shooters. Art can explain the requirements if you’re interested in
trying this division.

Plan to shoot our 3 gun match this August. Open and Standard divisions
will be recognized. More information will follow.
